The Windsor EV showcases a futuristic design language with striking elements. The exterior features a full-width LED light bar at both front and rear, creating an imposing presence. The sleek profile includes 18-inch alloy wheels, vertically stacked headlamps, and flush-fitting door handles. The aerodynamic design includes a sloped windscreen and short bonnet, contributing to its modern appeal.

Windsor Engine and Performance

At the heart of the Windsor EV lies a sophisticated electric powertrain delivering 136 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The 38 kWh battery pack enables a claimed range of 332 kilometers on a single charge. The motor offers four driving modes – Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport, each significantly impacting the vehicle’s performance and range characteristics.

Windsor Technology and Features

MG has equipped the Windsor with segment-leading features including a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity. The comprehensive package includes a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and a digital instrument cluster. The vehicle features MG-Jio ‘Innovative Connectivity Platform’ as standard.

Windsor Safety Features

Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Additional features include a 360-degree camera system and rear parking sensors. The suspension setup provides excellent ride quality across various road conditions.

Windsor Efficiency and Practicality

The Windsor EV offers impressive charging capabilities with multiple options. Using a 50kW DC fast charger, it can achieve 80% charge in just 55 minutes. The 7.4kW AC charger takes 6.5 hours for a full charge, while the 3.3kW AC charger requires 13.8 hours. The vehicle offers a generous 604 liters of boot space.

Windsor Market Position and Pricing

The 2024 Windsor EV is available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, with prices starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh through the innovative Battery-as-a-Service program. MG offers the vehicle in four sophisticated colors: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green.

Windsor Heritage and Evolution

The Windsor EV represents MG’s third electric offering in India after the ZS EV and Comet EV. Based on the Wuling Cloud EV platform, it demonstrates MG’s commitment to bringing advanced electric mobility solutions to the Indian market.
